America is especially known for its tasty and juicy burgers where every country has its own modifications and specializations to them. The differences between the types of restaurants can be huge as well when it comes to hamburgers.
However, there is a question that comes up quite a lot and that is the reason why I am writing this article because let’s sort it once and for all. What is the difference between a burger and a hamburger?

Is a burger a burger without the bun
A burger without the bun is still a burger. The bun can be replaced with lettuce, Portobello mushrooms, red peppers, or virtually anything that is large enough to be over the patty and where the person can get a grip of the burger.
As spoken above, a burger is a more loose term of a hamburger whereas if you would remove the buns from a hamburger, then it wouldn’t be a hamburger anymore but a burger. All in all, you would have a delicious meal in from of you regardless of what it is called.

The reason isn’t found from just one aspect, but a combination of many. Hamburgers grew so popular in America because they are relatively inexpensive, they are fast and easy to make and eat, they taste good, beef is available for almost anybody, and they can be altered in so many ways that it can be a dish for everybody.
